Haven't they just done that?
That wasn't a headlining tour. And that's 3 tours in a row (August Burns Red last year, Alesana a few months after, and ADTR just now) with almost the same setlist since they've only got 30 minutes, switching around Zzzonked/Jonny Sniper/Havoc A/Antwerpen with the ones they always play - Juggernauts, Mothership, No Sssweat, SYNAW and Solidarity.
Hopefully the Warped tour set will be completely different seeing as people can choose who they want to see, and it's most likely many of the people who will be going to see them have seen them at least once before.
Rather late, but I felt like chiming in
I know, myself, that I would never have paid money to see half the bands that I liked at Warped... Mainly because I just didn't know them >.<
Sparks The Rescue
Polar Bear Club
You Me At Six
I liked all of those bands live (now, recorded is a different story). Warped Tour is all about finding new music. So, some people might just stop by for Shikari, and realize the awesomeness!
Yes, you have a choice of who you want to see, but there isn't always someone playing that you want to see...

Polar Bear Club are amazing live and on CD, and if you disagree then you fail at life.
Just stating a fact, since they were brought up.

Not a huge fan on CD, but they're pretty good.
But live, holy jeezus, they were completely amazing!!
The lead singer said during his set at Warped, "I hope you don't mind, but I'm gonna jump around like an idiot for a little bit." XD

that's why you can just hang around, go to merch tents, buy stuff, talk to people, etc.
Also The Swellers are amazing, shame you didn't watch them. There were only like 20 people at their set, and the stage was tiny. It was just so awesome.
Also I knew of many other bands on there which is why I went, besides The Swellers, and ES of course, YM@6 and VersaEmerge (who were playing at the same time and unfortunately I had to leave 3 hours before them anyway...but I've seen VE before and I'll catch YM@6 another time I guess haha) but I met them anyway...and Set Your Goals, Four Year Strong, Motion City Soundtrack.

Actually, after Shikari, I just sat around. I was so out of it XD. I mean, it couldn't help that I was running on four hours of sleep and a couple of sausage burritos from McDonald's XD
There were so many people just sitting there, completely out of energy... I saw Polar Bear Club and Artist vs. Poet during that "I'm out of it" time period...

Aw they are playing the same venue in Baltimore that I saw them the first time I got to see them in my homestate like 3 years ago. The memories..... they headlined that show too. It's like deja vu.
I may go to two dates but the second one I'll have to go solo. ):

Not even a Tulsa date. Oh well, perhaps I can go to a Texas show, but I doubt it. Ah well.

OMG I'm SO CONFUSED! October 20th. In Detroit. THE EAGLES BALLROOM DOES NOT EXIST!!! D=
Well, it does. But it's kind of in Milwaukee, WI...
But, there is an Eagle Theater... and a Crofoot Ballroom in the same complex thing, so hopefully it's there...
And ugh, Cleveland isn't on a Friday or Saturday, so I'm pretty sure I'm not going to two shows >.<

Hahah hey! If I can tough it out to 4 AM for them and then go to class/work the next morning you can do it! Just tell your parents that it's a convention, in Cleveland, to aid in assistance of productively studying for a better tomorrow and that if you come home with merchandise that say Enter Shikari that was just the name of the program.

Re: USA Headlining Tour
Do it bro, I went to shitty Milwaukee for a band with half the talent!
Also patrick, which stop are you closest too?
and the tour listing up there does not include the stop in Dallas that also has The Devil Wears Prada and some other band I can't remember.
Dr. Pepper's Monster Mosh 2? I think it's called

also, they announce the tour and instead of people being happy and excited that they are touring, but instead they are finding reasons to complain

People are always going to find reasons to complain, either it'll be because it's not close enough, or not on a good day for them. Or if they go to the show they'll complain that they didn't play such and such song.
However I agree with you! Be happy they are even able to tour the US! And hopefully if this one is successful it'll bring about more headlining tours!

1) That's always the reaction
2) I'm not complaining... I'm just rather confused XD

When I saw them at Toursick, I was SOOO excited. It was crazy. And the show turned out to be so fucking immense... And they only played a half hour XD
With Warped, I was less excited, because I kind of knew what was coming... But it was still amazing.
And this'll be the 3rd time I'm seeing, and I'm way more excited about this one because it's a headlining tour, and I've never seen them play any song other than the 6 they played on both of the last two tours...
