Who will you vote for, and why?If under 18, who would you?

Will be my first vote.


I'm still undecided on who I will vote for.

Will never vote for the Tories due to my upbringing.

But don't think I will be voting Labour either after the massive problems we have had of late.

Had a look at the Green Party, Like a few of their ideas but I don't think that vote will make an impact. But then again I dont like some of the restrictions they will be putting on fuel and flying.

I think I will do a lot more reading over the next few months to decide.

Same situation as Hairson. None of the parties are particularly appealing, so I'm gonna have to do some more thinking.

But what is your opinion on not voting at all?

Smaller parties don't stand a chance realistically, so as much as they've cocked stuff up, I'd vote labour, just so the Tories don't get power. Their policies are only based on what they know and what they think they know.. they know nothing of the working class.

I do agree with the above, don't complain about if you don't wanna vote.

I've kinda surprised myself. All my life I've been pretty Conservative in my world-view, despite my parents coming from Labour voting backgrounds. And I always figured I'd be voting Tory as soon as I could.

But I dunno, I've become a lot less right wing in the past year or so. I'd still find it hard to vote Labour, especially with their current situation, and some of the Conservatives' policies and opinions do match mine, but I think I'll probs vote Lib Dem or something. The Greens annoy me sometimes, and while I'm loathe to use the whole "that vote won't do much" thing, at the end of the day it won't. Lib Dem won't do that much either, but it'll do more than a vote for Green.

...I might rethink it, I'm still very undecided lol.

I do feel like if it's not Labour or Conservative it's a wasted vote, as onr or the other will get into power... Kinda wanna vote for Labour to give them a better chance against a Tory government.
My main focus is on policies regarding Universities. I'll be there for the next 3/4 years. It's my top priority in what they plan on doing over the next few years.

To be fair though, I don't trust any of the parties with my vote or this country.

If everyone who said its a wasted vote to vote Liberal, then they would of been in power by now.

Anyone who votes Labour is a mug. Pretty much every government they have formed has ended in a major recession for the country, due to masive borrowing, overspending and filling up civil service with unnecessary jobs and expenditure.

the fact that one of the biggest goons to lead this country, John major, left power with the UK in one of its strongest positions economically, and Blair and Brown to then put us on our knees, in a weaker position financially than we have EVER been is horrific.

The tax raises, the fuel duty, the taxing of pensions, all things you would expect of a tory government, have all been done by Labour. To put it this way, if you buy £15 on fuel, only £5 of that is the cost of the petrol. The rest goes to the government.

We are still borrowing £500m a day, an unimaginable amount.

The idea of the family, which is proven to be the best (but not only) way of successfully bringing up a child has been ripped to shreds.

Under Labour, everyone is told that no matter what they do, its never wrong.

Being a layabout, a sloth, unemployed in times of prosperity (rather than todays scenario where due to the recession its an unfortunate necessityu for so many people) used to be something people were ahsamed of, now its a badge of honour to live off benefits.

Until we curb the benefit state, we will struggle. There are more and more pensioners and more and more people on benefits, fewer people paying into the pot, more people taking out. We need to provide for pensioners, not chavvy girls who cant shut their legs, or knife obsessed boys and their devil dogs.

Under Labour, if you think this is bad, wait until you see what happens when the debt REALLY kicks in.

Liberal Democrat or Conservative really is the way forward.

I'm not particularly "Right wing" but I've always have voted Conservative and will be doing in this election.

I was a Conservative councillor for 19 years. I grew up in a financially poor family living in a Council house. My father was an electrician working for the Electricity Board (as it was in those days). My mum was a part time barmaid.

I'm a Conservative because I believe it is a "one nation" party, seeking to improve the conditions of all people, irrespective of their socio-economic background. Anyone doubting this should read "Breakdown Britain" from the Conservative Party's Scocial Justice Working Party.
I know that view of Conservatism is not accepted by all, but from my involvement with the Conservative Party during the last 40 years it's one which is held by all Conservative Party members, MPs, Party Leaders, and Councillors who I've met.

All parties except the extremists (Communists, Revolutionary Socialists, and BNP) seek to serve all the peiople. Labour does it by state control. It's well-meaning, but they have too many fingers in too many pies. As a result they've spent more money than the country can afford. The recession may have been world wide, but we're in a mess as a nation becuase of the Government's borrowing. They believe in state control whcih ultimate restricts freedom.

Liberal Democrats are not as "liberal" as many may think. They're generally very nice people. I'm not in favour of one single currency for the EU, or Federalism, so could never vote Liberal. The Greens are very much a Green Left party. I put my own environomental views into practice - I've been an organic gardener all my life. I use public transport whenver I can. In reality this means about 5 times more than I use the car. I'll only use the car for journeys of 20 miles or more, unless my return journey is after the last bus (11pm). I'm having triple glazed wooden framed windows installed this year, plus more insulation, solar panels and wood burning stoves. I hope a furture Conservative Government will recognise that the easiest way to cut down our demainds on fuel is to insulate houses.

I will probably vote for Lib Dems, I think just because I agree with more of their policies than other parties

I find it hilarious that the (labour supporting) Daily Record is going with the story that Nick Clegg has "the tories on the run" after the debate. What they omit is the factthat it leaves Labour 3rd of the 3 major parties.

The fact is, Lib Dem will take a load of Labour seats (as, Im sure, will the tories) and ruin Browns hopes of a hung Parliament split mainly between Tories and Labour.

Lets get our asses out of recession, something Labour are great at regularly causing, but rarely, if ever fix.

Nick Clegg was left to his own devices really at the debate. The only conflict on the show were Labour Vs Tories.

If the lib dems win the election (which will never ever happen) I believe they would legalise weed. They support legalising cannabis and prescribing herion to addicts.

What I was getting at in my first post is that you're only 14 mate. Not to sound patronising, but the last thing you wanna be doing at that age is skullfucking yourself smoking weed. You mentioned using it in another thread too I remember...it's not clever.
