Iv never understood why life doesnt mean life. if we'r going to let them out for whatever reason, tehn a number should be put on the term.

I really can't understand why it was necessary to tell us that John Venables had been returned to prison for breaching his parole, which only allowed speculation by the Press. Either we should be told when every prisoner freed on licence breaches the conditions of that licence or not be told when any do.

Our prison system / criminal justice system isn't working. We allow prisoners who cannot read and write to leave prison before they can, so they have no hope of getting a job.
