I do agree with them (to some extent) on not releasing details of his custody, because you are "innocent until proven guilty" I suppose, and if any details were released, a) he'd be lynched, and b) I doubt he'd get a fair chance at this new case. Despite this, what is fair when a two year old boy is tortured and killed?
In a newspaper I saw some of Venables' drawings when he was a child - of things like axes and brutal murder, so obviously there was indefinitely something wrong with him, and he should have got and still should have serious psychological help, instead of juvy for eight years

I know he was 10 when he killed him. I just mean Jon Venables should be killed, end of. Anybody that does what he did to a child at the age of 10 is clearly fucked up beyond correction.

Well I'd agree with that if prisons weren't filled with Sky+ which I don't even have in my house, and PS3's, 360's and various other activities to "rehabilitate" them. A cell that they're in on their own for the rest of their entire lives (literally) with a blob of shite porridge every morning maybe.

Why the hell do prisons give the criminals such luxeries? My mate is having to work his arse off at the moment to save up for an Xbox 360, yet in prison it's gifted to them on a plate.
They're also spending their days on Facebook in between playing 5 a side games of football and snooker tournaments whilst their favourite programmes are being recorded on Sky+.

I was under the impression prison was being stuck in a cell on your own for most of the day with awful food being served and very edgy shower times.

Because EVERYTHING in this country is now geared to either minorities, people doing something wrong or people who CBA doing anything for themselves. If you work hard, or are in the majority, or your group previously enjoyed superior rights in the past, your being made to pay for it.

Its what happens when a Labour government takes control for 3 terms.

Life in prison should mean you're there till you die, there should be no second chances and no realistic grounds for appeal in such clear cut murder cases. You steal someones right to a life then you don't deserve a chance at living yours outside bars. Age is irellevant.

I really can't understand why it was necessary to tell us that John Venables had been returned to prison for breaching his parole, which only allowed speculation by the Press. Either we should be told when every prisoner freed on licence breaches the conditions of that licence or not be told when any do.

Our prison system / criminal justice system isn't working. We allow prisoners who cannot read and write to leave prison before they can, so they have no hope of getting a job.
