Top 5 Albums of the 2000s

Post by apap3rplat3 on Fri 08 May 2009, 11:42 pm

Post your top 5 albums of the 2000s!

Mine:
5. We Were Dead Before The Ship Even Sank - Modest Mouse (2007)
4. m4 - Faunts* (2006)
3. Take to the Skies - Enter Shikari (2007)
2. Good News For People Who Love Bad News - Modest Mouse (2004)
1. The Moon & Antarctica - Modest Mouse (2000)

*m4 is an EP but it is over 40 minutes in length so I counted it as an album.
And yes I know 3/5 are Modest Mouse (and it's not because I only listen to three bands) I just think they are amazing (I could go on for hours but I'll stop myself.) And hopefully Common Dreads will make it's way into that list.

And yes I know in the video #3 and #4 are swapped, but it was really hard deciding. The list posted above is the most current.

not true at all. Honestly, I listen to more rap and country than probably anyone here (thanks to my brother.) Not my fault MM's albums are better than the shit people call music today. I knew people would think that, but I actually listen to a lot of music from a variety of styles. I just find MM to be better than the other stuff.

Don't say it's not legit just 'cause I don't have 5 different artists on it. That's why it's MY top 5. Keyword there, MY. I'll repeat it again just incase you missed it, MY.

I'm not mad, just I don't like it when people when people criticize my musical tastes without knowing the entire truth.

And no, I don't like most of it. Rap and Country mainly suck (some rap is alright.) As for the "classic" rock, no. I hate that. But I listen to a lot of stuff, I just don't talk about it a lot.

With Common Dreads out, MM's new EP coming out in 2 weeks, and finally hearing Ugly Casanova's album, I might have to make some adjustments to my list.

I can't do this. I've already picked out fifteen candidates and I'm not even finished artists beginning with E in my iTunes library. It's impossible.
