Rage Against The Machine Announce Free UK Show

Following Rage Against The Machine beating X Factor finalist Joe McElderry to clinch the 2009 Christmas Number One, the band agreed to play a free show to say ‘thank you’ to all their UK fans.

Well, Kerrang! can reveal that the band will be playing London’s Finsbury Park on Sunday, June 6.

I'm off Uni on Wednesday (legitimately, not 'off' as in the whole of this week that I've taken off), so I'm gonna be up. Hope I can get a hold of a ticket.

It's probably better than 1 in 3 in honesty. There's people who registered multiple times cos they didn't get the acceptance email straight away, and then got emails for each of the different email addresses we used.

Regardless, it won't stop the inevitable Seetickets crash on Wednesday morning that occurs every time a big event goes on sale.

I think, you only get 1, but then you can get 2 if the person you want to go with is also registered.

I think everyone did. Not sure if it's a fuck up or if it's just for confirmation that you were accepted since the deadline was midnight.

Just got an e-mail about tomorrow and i'm confused by this...

PLEASE NOTE. THE SYSTEM WILL BE PROGRAMMED TO ACCEPT TICKET APPLICATIONS ON A RANDOM AND EQUITABLE BASIS. IF YOU FAIL THE FIRST TIME, TRY AGAIN AND AGAIN UNTIL YOU ARE EITHER SUCCESSFUL OR THE TICKETS ARE ALL GONE. WE WILL INFORM EVERYONE WHEN THEY ARE ALL GONE.

So do we keep applying for them until they are gone?

When you go to get your ticket from seetix you need to enter your registration number and postcode, if you fail the first time (because it's a randomly generated ticket selection) you can keep trying until all the tickets are gone.

They won't keep record of all the people who failed only the people who got a ticket.
