What you did there, I seen it.

Day didn't go exactly as planned but don't regret going at all. Looking forward to the reschedule.

Re: Blackpool - 6th Feb
I still made the effort to make a night of it. Threw up ALOT and somehow pissed on the bathroom floor. I have no recolection of barely any of that aha.
Re: Blackpool - 6th Feb
I guess he was just shouting it over the general situation that was occurring with the whole cancellation and all. Nice use of an ES 'lyric'. I wasn't there but I read that this happened and it made me chuckle
Re: Blackpool - 6th Feb
Well, would he rather have a piece of the roof fall off and seriously hurt someone?
As much as I was extremely disappointed to go all that way for no gig, I understand why. Hopefully they won't bother having the re-arranged show there again.

Yea I know what you mean although i'm not sure where they could sell the 'lions are at the seaside' t-shirt now unless it was at Blackpool again.

They sold them nearly all yesterday. Ian said they only 10 left. We didn't go to it but when they did the four hour signing/apology they were also selling merch.

We were contemplating getting Ian drunk and then talking into giving us one.
Hopefully trying to sort out going to London.

Seems the band and Keith got abuse from the crowd.

They don't deserve that shit, people are so ignorant of what happens, they can't accept it was beyond anyones control and have to look for a scapegoat to make themselves feel better. Hope it's only Blackpool who are ungrateful sods tbf :/
Re: Blackpool - 6th Feb
I'd quite happily punch the girl who shouted REEFUUND and GET ON WITH THE GIG!
Re: Blackpool - 6th Feb
OK. So. Boring and a pain in the arse though it is, the Blackpool show was and is CANCELLED.
The "make-up" show, when it happens, will not be able to be in Blackpool.
We've tried, and it simply CANNOT BE DONE.
That means that everyone HAS to get refunds on their tickets.
Refunds are available from the place you bought the tickets from.
Check the confirmation email you got when you bought the tickets and the details will be on there to contact them.
When the make-up show is sorted (we're trying to find the space in the schedule - as, of course, the band's show diary was already very full before space needed to be found for this show - and trying to find a suitable venue etc etc), we have the email addresses of everyone that bought tickets online for the Blackpool show, so we'll offer first choice of tickets to people who had Blackpool tickets.
I know this isn't ideal for everyone... and it certainly isn't ideal for the band or any of us here either.
but, its how it has to be.
We all would have preferred the ceiling to stay where it was and for the show to go ahead as planned.
So... yeh... refunds from the place you bought the tickets from.
Again, we're all well sorry this happened... but totally beyond anyone's control.

Was expected. More money back I suppose. Wouldn't be suprised if the re-arranged show is in Manchester.
Re: Blackpool - 6th Feb
Misread that to start with, thought it said there was going to be no make up show, so we just had to get a refund. But as long as there's still a gig, having it not in Blackpool is prob just a bonus.
