"It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we tell you of the passing today of Jimmy “The Rev” Sullivan. Jimmy was not only one of the world's best drummers, but more importantly he was our best friend and brother. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Jimmy's family and we hope that you will respect their privacy during this difficult time.
Jimmy you are forever in our hearts.
We love you.

RIP. I hate hearing news like this.
They're not "one of my favourite bands" or anything like that. but i did buy their latest album and see them live. Feel quite sad about it!

I can't believe how many people 2009 has taken away. Patrick Swayze, Michael Jackson, DJ AM, Stephen Gately etc....
I mean, what is going on?!?!
Sorry, I was just discussing him with someone and put that in by mistake /slaphead

I made a topic without looking to see if there was another sorry... I'd merge them but me and Nicola both don't have admin powers in this section of the forum? strange.

It'll so be the drugs. Or liver damage or something.
Re: Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan RIP
From the sounds of the message, seems like it's been on the cards for a while. Even if it is drug/alcohol related, still sad to hear someone as talented as he is has passed on.
Re: Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan RIP
ive been wondering whats gonna happen once they've all dealt with the loss. Will they get a new drummer? or will they start anew?

Re: Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan RIP
Dunno, may get a new drummer, though obviously it'd be very, very hard to match up to The Rev.

Re: Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan RIP
Well, thought i'm sure he was a great drummer, there are probably thousands if not more drummers of equal or better talent out there and I'm sure they will hire one of them.

Im sure there will be alot of drummers offering to step up to the plate and do an awesome job, but they will never be The Rev.

Re: Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan RIP
