I feel like being at college is completely pointless. I haven't learnt anything new on my course except HTML (which I never bothered at home). I feel like I'm wasting 2 years of my life, just to get a shoddy piece of paper proving I can do something I learnt years ago. I don't wanna go to uni, I don't want a job, I don't really want anything!

I feel the same Jed. I don't really enjoy any of my subjects that much, and I decided to take a gap year next year to choose what to do. I want to do photography at uni I guess 'cause it's not like I can do anything, but I don't feel ready to go yet.
Last week I was in two out of five days, and I didn't go in today either. And my head of year who also happens to be my philosophy teacher must have asked people in the lesson today where I was and they 'didn't know' as she rang my mum today saying I'd missed some lessons and that my friends didn't know where I was. Oops. I gave in a note for last week at least but I guess she doesn't know that. My mum has been home half an hour and I'm too scared to go downstairs because she's gonna be disappointed in me. Can't be bothered with anything at the moment.

This whole university funding thing sucks. They say it's gonna be even more harder to get into uni and that lots of courses are being scrapped to save money. Hope I get in this year really bad.

I feel the same.
I didn't even bother trecking it in today. Just did work at home.
Like I'm supposed to be making this flash website for part of my graphics project and the teachers just can't be arsed to help/teach me. I can only do so much myself by watching endless online tutorials before it gets well complicated.
My photography course is a total shambles. We have about 3 different teachers who all hate each other. We never get feedback on anything so last year when we got marked for AS we were all 2 grades from what we were told.
I had no guidance with my portfolio for art college at all.
But it's all gravy because the interviewers at Ravensbourne liked what I had done.

Im jumping on this wagon here, last night I sat and thought why was I going to college, my cadetship next year requires no A-levels just an insight into the industry and sailing qualifications. I went to college originally because I thought I wanted to go to uni. Started my 2nd year because I'd already done a first year and thought it was a waste to drop out after already passing my first, what I hate is that my college repeated from April to September/October rammed going to Uni as the only option after leaving ,and once I'd stated I wasn't going they couldn't care less about me. As well as this in IT my tutor didnt even help me when it came to programming and I was waaay over my head, so I fell behind by about two weeks.

I was forced to take an AS when I only wanted to do three a levels (..well I had the option of an AS or General Studies) really wish I'd gone and got a full time job for 2 years rather than waste the stress that comes with it all and to only get pretty pathetic grades.

That's good at least. Smile
Ravensbourne is the only place I want to go really, as I could stay at home and just get a bus there, so if I don't get in when I apply next year, I don't even know what I'll do.
What was the interview like?

Yeah I can get there so easily from where I live once the East London line is up and running.
The interview was good, quite relaxed and stuff. They just looked at my stuff and asked me which bits I liked best and why. They were generally really nice and chatty.

I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one who can't be arsed as of now. I need to start being more motivated now.

You go to Colchester Sixth Form don't you man? Who's your IT tutor?
They did the same thing with our year and sort of assumed everyone was going to Uni (although I'm glad I did to be honest). But yea, they did the same thing with me with the 3 A level thing, I ended up taking General Studies and has a 20% attendance haha Razz

I was meant to do General Studies last year 'cause I dropped a subject, and they didn't realise for ages so I joined at the end of January I think. The teacher either told us stories or just let us go. I got a D. Haha, oh well. Pointless.

And you call your teachers by their first names..? That's so weird.
