Re: Modern warfare 2.
I'm on the mission where I'm going through some houses with a nice big tank thing laser designating shizzle. (hope thats not enough to spoil anything?)
I came into college today like "yeah it looks alright, will probably get it for christmas" and then by 1pm I was weeing myself with excitement and legged it to gamestation to get it.
EDIT: Then remembering it's an 18 and my mum got it from Tesco later, fail

Re: Modern warfare 2.
I got it. Gameplay is brilliant. Graphics are quality. As malky has said, the story is bonkers.
Re: Modern warfare 2.
- Spoiler:
- Who the fuck are bombing America? I know they're Russian but are they the army or... just a fuck load of terrorists? It confused me. Also that snowmobile is ridiculously fast.

- America are at war with Russia I believe? It's a bit weird with the russian terrorists killing all the civilians?
Re: Modern warfare 2.
Well it's hard for me to admit but this game is awesome. The campaign is A LOT better than I thought it would be.
Haven't tried out multiplayer yet, waiting to beat the story. But damn I am impressed.
- Spoiler:
- I'm right at the part where Price "loses" connection to Shepard. And to answer Jed's question I believe they are called the Ultra-Nationalists? I can't remember if that's right or not but I think it is. But yeah it said the main guy (whose name I can't remember how to spell so I won't attempt it) follows no state or flag so like it's not really "Russia" but it's Russians.

Re: Modern warfare 2.
I've just played multiplayer so far as I love team deathmatch so much. The levels are a lot bigger so you don't get killed every second because there's tonnes of people from the other team in one place and the graphics are brilliant. Plus, I love the fact everyone on it was British last night haha.
Re: Modern warfare 2.
Just completed the campaign. That shit is nuts. Great fun. Some bits don't make alot of sense but i don't care really.

I split it into general acts so I wouldn't ruin the ending.
WELL
- Spoiler:
- Remember Zhakaev? He's declared a martyr in Russia by the Ultranationalists, and Makarov (Zhakaev's lieutenant) attacks Europe with terror attacks, as you do. Then, after the Afghan mission at the start, you get selected to be Makarov's guy in the No Russian mission, where you get shot in the face by Makarov and he makes a scapegoat of America as world thinks the attack on the airport was US supported. This gives the Ultranationalist Russia reason to invade the east coast of the US where you fight as the American. The Brits are away in Rio trying to capture Makarov's contact to determine where Makarov is.
- Spoiler:
- Since that plan turned out to be a shiter, Soap suggests a raid on the Gulag to get out Prisoner #627 (Captain Price). Price goes batshit bonkers temporarily and fires a nuke at Washington that he rigged to detonate in the Earth's upper atmosphere that causes electromagnetic pulses that a) destroy the International Space Station and b) cripple the US and Russian forces in Washington, where the Americans are. You, as Sgt Foley, have to retake the White House (Whiskey Hotel) so the Air Force don't carpet bomb the city to fuck particles.
- Spoiler:
- Now that that's done, Makarov is still free, so Task Force 141 decide to split up to find him, Soap and Price go to Afghanistan; and Ghost and Roach (you) go to Makarov's holiday home, where you find nothing, but get all the data from his computer. When you try to escape, General Shepherd betrays you both and sets fire to you in a hole in a field (he's doing this so when he retells the story, it will be HIS story and he will be a global hero) . Since Soap (now you) and Price escaped the ambush, they hunt down Shepherd in the Afghan caves and then in a lovely chase scene through the rivers of Afghanistan, where Shepherd gets into a helicopter which you take down then you crash. You then go after Shepherd with a knife, however he smacks you round one, then Price gets in on the action. You get stabbed by Shepherd, then in a quicktime sequence, you have to remove the knife in order to throw it in Shepherd's eye. Nikolai comes to collect you two and takes you away to a nice quiet place by the sea or something for MW3.

- You think they're not gonna cash in on it? If they make a story that silly again (with the game part of it being as excellent), I'm well going to buy it.

Re: Modern warfare 2.
I finished the story. It was pretty awesome (with a bit of the classic CoD bullshit thrown in for good measure) but it's definitely the best out of the series imo. Now I'm starting on the long and stressful adventure that is Veteran. I haven't played WaW's campaign since beating it on Vet due to it absolutely ruining it for me by how many fucking times I died on the Storm the Reichstag mission. Ridiculous. But CoD 4 was even harder I'd say on Vet. Took me a long ass time to beat Heat (gave up for about 4 or so months then finally beat it.) Not one of my friends understands why I want to beat it on vet. It's because it's not done until it's completed on the hardest difficulty imo.
Mulitplayer is very good as well. I'm level 4
