London + Oxford Travel and Accommodation
Ok let's tie off some loose ends here.
What is the accommodation situation for both nights?
What is the travel plan (times would be cool also)?
I am going to be getting a train into London from Hatfield so I'll be needing to know which station I need to get to and if someone would be so kind as to meet little old me because if I'm left to my own navigating skills bad things will happen.
For Oxford I was planning on meeting StevenLikeStatues in London and then us 2 either traveling with you or traveling to meet you guys in Oxford.

I'm getting the train from Ascot to London Waterloo, then to Camden or Chalk Farm Road, with James. No idea what time yet.
Re: London + Oxford Travel and Accommodation
All I know is I'm getting a flight down to London.

That is correct, I booked the Euston travelodge. It's only a double room, a twin or family room wasn't available when I looked.
I only have it booked for one night though, and still don't know what to do about Oxford. Would it be better to stay in Oxford, or travel back to London? I'll do whatever everyone else is doing, I just don't want me and my sister to be left on our todd!

I don't particularly want to be sleeping on the streets.

Re: London + Oxford Travel and Accommodation
i got my roundhouse ticket through the post today, i've just realised i've booked seating tickets on level 2 by accident.
i've looked at the plans of the place, and also on my ticket it say enter via circle one, so i've gotta go to my seat via standing? so surely i can just stay in standing? anyone been before?

Re: London + Oxford Travel and Accommodation
Entering the roundhouse is weird, you go through the door then upstairs. Which then gets you, as far as I remember to standing level. Entering through 'circle 1' sounds like the balcony as thats what 'circle' usually means. I'm not to sure though.

When i went, i got there, showed them my ticket, go up some stairs, then i had a wristband cause it was for the itunes festival, so we had to show them our wristband to get into the standing bit. To get to seating, you had to go up another set of stairs, there arent many seats though.. I doubt theyll actually give us wristbands though, that would be weird.. so you will probably be able to get into standing..
Also, if you were seating, and had to stay in seating, you could still meet everyone there, cause theres a beer garden for everyone there, its SUCH a nice venue..

I would be totally up for letting a few more people crash in my room (we've already agreed to let Gabs stay), however, my sister isn't happy with the idea because she's worried about us getting thrown out! I explained that you folks have done this before, but she won't budge I'm afraid
However I do think it'd be cool if we could all stay in the same hotel, as I still want Travelodge parties
Re: London + Oxford Travel and Accommodation
Oh and for Oxford, I think the best bet is Premier Travel Inn, there's one about 1.8m from the venue and it's only £44 (much cheaper than the London Travelodge)!
Re: London + Oxford Travel and Accommodation
Though they'll probably be alot more tighter on the amount of people in the room. (Like THAT infamous night)
Re: London + Oxford Travel and Accommodation
Yeah, when i first went there, i thought it was really weird knowing that enter shikari were gonna play there. I can see there being LOADS of injuries.
But there's not only a beer garden, there is also air conditioning (or just cold air), COMING OUT OF THE FLOOR! So its really nice on your legs.
