Re: When I turn/turned 18...
I'm 18 a month today, but it probably won't make a major difference to my life, except from the fact I'll be able to get alcohol legally. And it's another year legal with no action...

Not sure what I should do for my 18th. I really don't feel like have a huge party but I have no ideas for just a small one with close friends. I'm stuck.

Hmmm, that is a possibility. I'd want to do something before though and going to dinner/a movie is so over done.

Haha I got mega wasted. Driving back with my parents and spewing out the car window was rough. My mom was worried and my dad was pissing his pants laughing!
Re: When I turn/turned 18...
I don't even know what to do for mine, I've got 8 months to think about it haha. Probably just go to a bar or summat with some friends I suppose. Though I'd prefer to just get completely wasted.

Hmm, I guess this would be my 19th birthday in reality. Ohwell, I'm legally allowed to drink at home so if I really want to I can.

Pshhh, i'd get skinned. Maybe when I get my own place though.
I don't understand why our drinking age is different from everything else. Why are we allowed to vote/buy lotto tickets/be considered an adult legally when we're 18 but can't drink in public t'ill we're 19? It makes no sense.

I think it'd be even worse in America with the age being 21, makes me feel priveleged to be able to when i'm 18 tbh
But yeah, 19 does seem like an odd age, bit of a random number
Re: When I turn/turned 18...
At this rate, they might as well change the legal sex age to 14 :/ But yeah, 19 is odd haha!
Re: When I turn/turned 18...
Went up to the icebar in London with the parents, and then got utterly wrecked back in RG with a few mates. 2 days later, had a fancy dress party at Facebar.

For a young Geordie on the cusp of manhood, you could do a lot worse than a crawl through the Head of Steam bars scattered liberally through the area.
My eighteenth was dull as dishwater, on account of I was half way through my 'straight edge' phase. I think I went for a meal with my parents, where they tried desperately to get me to have a drink, then went to see a film with my friends, which I believe might have been Lord of the Rings. My nineteenth was better - a drunken danceathon fueled by two puddings from New Orleans, and my twentieth was the best, when I got to fill a five-year long ambition by finally seeing the Ataris, and also copped off with a hot boy with a tongue stud.

Where's good (and fairly cheap) to go in Newcastle? Need to start thinking as if i'm doing a night out then I want to do it right, and I don't think Liquid/Powerhouse is my sorta thing and loads of people go there

Yes, very much so, I did however think it was a tool shop everytime we drove past when I was about 7... little did I know if you asked for a screw there you'd get a fair bit more than you bargained for...
But cheers, heard good things about Digital and i've been Trillians for a music video shoot and had a few vodka and cokes without a huge impact on my wallet and the people are really nice, will make sure I keep this thread in mind for my 18th or any nights out, thanks
