Bollocks to your Lomography, I have Photoshop actions.

Photoshop will never beat the look from raw film.

Do the best with what you can. I've got a DSLR and Photoshop.

Mine aren't very good but I've only just got a DSLR.

How do you do the water ones Jess? I had a go at it last week, but failed epically.

Well make sure the tap is running really slowly and then just set your shutter speed to summit like 1/6, i can't remember what speed i did it at now, but i usually just play around with different speeds, and put it on continuous shooting then pick out the best ones

I've decided I am going to get a DSLR, I'm not quite sure what I'm looking for! Thinking £400 is my limit though. Hopefully getting some of it for my birthday and then will pay the rest myself. Any advice would be appreciated!

But why? And if I'm comparing a load of cameras, what features would you advice I look for?

I'm recommening the canon 1000D because I have it.
It's a really good camera to use, and I just prefer the look to them to Nikons. But comparing Nikon's to Canon's is another discussion

I got mine over a year ago now, so there is probably a more up-to-date one, but it was £400 and still an awesome camera
