This is mine, it rarely lasts as ive got some shitty virus that makes me reactivate windows so i never bother so my desktop is usually black and saves "ACTIVE WINDOWS D:".

you search for a little program called RemoveWAT (if you're running Windows 7) on Google. Anything earlier, just remove windows activation or something along those lines in the search bar is always handy. I'll say no more.

Leaving this advice in a spoiler so Microsoft's godly hands don't destroy the Zone.

i brought it into the shop coz the motherbroad fcked over
and i kept getting it after i put my code in
told them
and they said thers a virus that makes it look like theres no activation but its a irus to steal your key :/
so im gonna ring em up and get them to get me a new product key.

I'm very confident it's Windows Activation Technologies which is causing your problem, which is Microsoft's, not a virus haha. I mean you might be right but if you've got a suitable anti-virus suite (Microsoft Security Essentials for example) it's bound to pick up on it. Is this some kind of big retailer you got this computer off or some small shop that fixed it? I'm kinda with Malky on this one.

Pc world, i've got some anything happens insurance so when it died i just gave them it (as i have 6 times already ;/) and got it back and when i booted it up i got the "activate now for updates" which i had done as soon as i installed.
I got the laptop and windows 7 from pc world.

People should stop using PC World. DSGi are utter cunts.

My old laptop broke due to gamer rage *cough*
and the insurance covered it and they gave us 400 quid and pc world had the best one for that price ;')
The tech guys are bastards though it took them 3 weeks to replace a fucking charger.

That's because, like Malky said, they're cunts. Honestly PC World are a JOKE. Not that it's your fault that you bought a laptop from them but still.

In future I suggest you use ebuyer.com for ANYTHING electrical, seriously they've never let me down, infact they past 3 computers I've built, I've bought all the components from them, quality service and dead cheap.

PC World have absurd prices for absurdly shite hardware. There's a difference between "4GB of RAM" and 4GB of quality high performance decent long lasting RAM, same applies for most of the shite they sell.

and i used to play one game but i stopped when i gained more than 2 friends.
Ive got a 2gb ram 160gb hd compaq :L

it was more my mam really i saw a sick desktop on some ebay store which was pretty much triple that if not more haha and it was 280 :/
but blah, its pissing me off, my dekstop changes to black every 20 minutes with "this copy is not geniuine activate now" in the corner.

If it breaks, take it to a local repair shop, fuck PC World's shaved monkeys.
