It was great.

'Gallows have been dropped by their record label Warner Brothers after just one album.

Although 'Grey Britain' received rave reviews, it sold only 20,000 copies in the UK and 50,000 worldwide. The one single to chart did so at No 147.'

They fucked WB over and did what they wanted to do. Good on 'em.

Same as warner, I've got both albums but I ain't that big on them. Good to listen to once in a while.

Gallows come out of this split much, much better off than Warner.

gallows are quality, blatently werent happy with WB cause they put the pressure of record sales on far more what an artist wants, which is pretty obvious.
they're far bigger than what the record sales show, with the crowds they can pull and how influential they are now to bands worldwide.
can only be a good move for gallows, so they can continue writing for them selves and the fans, and not for the label they're on.

Didn't the whole front cover of Grey Britain have something to do with WB? Just goes to show really. As Burgess said it can only be a good move.
