Re: Camden Jan 16th , Kingston Jan 17th
yeah for a venue its tiny, the stage is practically nothing. i've seen loads of bands there now and there is a step onto the stage and that's it. for a club it's pretty big. when i saw wheatus back in september i stayed in the back room, which is sorta like another venue/bar. then theres upstairs but i think that's all VIP. never bothered going up there.
i reckon if you haven't got it a ticket yet, get one soon. loads of people i know from uni are going "for lols".
ps. drinks can be pricey so drink baaaare beforehand. i think last time i went it was about £8 for two beers.

All these gigs coincide before I have exams, will not be attending

According to the Travelodge website, there's 2 TLodges in Kingston - Kingston Upon Thames Central, and just Kingston Upon Thames. Which one is the one only 5mins away from the Hippodrome?

Seeing as these are the retakes I highly doubt it would be recommendable haha

I'm quite schooled in retakes, there is always a second chance to a second chance. Then maybe another one but you'll have to pay for those ones.

I've got exams as well as retakes, I'll just take some flash cards with me, no biggie.

They're about 400 feet apart (if you go on Street View at the corner of Old London Road and Fairfield West, you can see both of them) but Kingston Upon Thames Central is slightly closer to the venue, and about 20p cheaper at the moment.

Probably going for the central travelodge, not that it really makes a difference. It's cheaper. Booking this week since I have the money now.
One of you Londoners are going to need to help me figure out how the hell to get to Kingston and back to London the next day! haha.

Aha, thanks for the info. As I've never been to Kingston before I wanted it to be as easy as possible to find everywhere I need to go haha.
Re: Camden Jan 16th , Kingston Jan 17th
I start back at uni that week (my last trimester in education EVER) so I can't go

Nah, like the Kingston Central one. Cheaper than the other Kingston one which is silly. I mean like, from the bus station to Kingston. I should've said that, sometimes I forget people can't read my mind! hahaha. We travel to/from Victoria Station.

Looking at the National Rail website, it looks pretty easy - get a train from London Victoria to Clapham Common and then change there to one to Kingston; takes about 35 minutes, both trains run every fifteen minutes and then the railway station is only about five minutes up the road from the hotel.

Dont confuse Victoria coach station and victoria bus station. I did a few years ago and nearly didnt get home.
Whatt ya gota do is head to the Victoria tube station and take the district line to Westminister, then get off and take the Jubilee line to Waterloo, only takes 10-15 mins, and thenn get national rail from Waterloo to Kingston for a fiver (less with a YP card) which takes 25 mins.
I hate being a travel geek but it comes in handy.
