No question it's System. Listen closely to album's baselines. I hear people saying that Chris didn't seem like he did much on the album but the baselines really are fantastic.

It's not that he didn't do much. It's that in the interviews on the dvd he sounds like he didn't have a clue what was going on and was being told what to do.

"In this track it was my job to drive the track" or "in this track it was my job to lay down the low frequencies" or some shit. which can be roughly translated to "I just played a 123412341234 bassline for ages" and "ummmmmmmmmmmmmm bass. hehehee". I know he's an amazing bassist but in that interview it looks as if he was just told what to do the whole time.

I think it just seems that he's not very good at interviews. That was the impression I got from the similar documentary they did for Common Dreads, and from just normal interviews too.

Awww. I just think he's adorable. (I know this is random, not giving any imput into the conversation, but I had to say it.)

Actions speak louder than words n all that. He's a great bassist and that's all we should care about Smile

I totally disagree with the view that Chris doesn't do much on AFFOC personally. Basslines are excellent and his harmonies with Rou are some of the best ES has ever done (e.g Hello Tyrannosaurus verse harmony).

That isn't my opinion. I agree with you. But in the dvd he just comes across as if he's one of "those" bassists...

Listen to the chorus bit. The woahhhhh. Lots of reverb and EQ'd so sound far away. Sounds AWESOME.

Can someone explain the lyrics of Warm Smiles to me? I know it's about music and soulless artist etc... but.

"You see the airways are clogged up, but the fickle they lap it up. They need to be drowned in condiments and left to ponder sense".

I don't know if it some of your british words or what. haha

Well the 'airways' would be the musical airways that are 'clogged up' with the same homegenised pop trash. Clogged up being slang for 'full up/blocked'. The fickle are the people 'lapping up' all this shite music that we hear on a daily basis.

Not too sure on the second line.

yea the second lines def a thinker. what ive made out of it, is that people add condiments to things to enhance them. For example, ketchup on a hamburger. so in other words, they need to be "drowned" in something that will enhance their thinking.. leaving them "pondering sense". making them realize how meaningless some radio music is.

Blimey, AFFOC dropped to number 27 in the UK album charts this week. It's a shame, it's the slow burners than gain the most attention but oh well!

If there's not a new song, like Tribalism, it might be named after something from the album, like The Zone was.

The Zone was released 8 months after TTTS
Tribalism was released 8 months after CD

So we're looking at around September? Or at least by end of 2012
