That Louis Armstrong ending was only on the single bought on iTunes, Amazon etc. Otherwise most people would've had a a rip of the music video.
Re: A Flash Flood of Colour
Thought so, never saw the video often so assumed everyone else thought the same as me haha
Re: A Flash Flood of Colour
Low and Highs?
My high is definitely the breakdown of Pack Of Thieves and the last half of Stalemate.
My low is probably the "all hands on deck" part of Search Party. Doesn't ruin the song at all. But it needed a better transition in my opinion.

that transition doesn't make sense at all.
it's a bit dissapointing that i've heard half of the songs before the whole album came out. It doesnt feel like an album now

Apart from transition between system... and ...meltdown (seen as you'd of thought they'd of tied the two songs better together) annd breakdown in pack of thieves could've been a touch heavier with more synth,. . . absolutely love the album

I'm pretty sure that's just the rip to be honest. Could be wrong.
Re: A Flash Flood of Colour
Ahh i was thinking that when i just tried it again on spotify but it still sounds a bit sketchy. See what you mean about search party too, couldve/shouldve been two separate songs really

Might be better quality.

Re: A Flash Flood of Colour
Do really enjoy the album, but if I do have a couple issues, it's what I feel is a lack of screamed vocals, and that some songs seem to be a bit slow for too long. Besides that, excellent album. Can't wait for it to arrive now. Want to see the DVD/live tracks. Want to see what it sounds like on my record player too. They tweeted earlier saying it will be posted tomorrow, if anyone missed it. Psyched.

Re: A Flash Flood of Colour
The compression of the leak really messed with the Search Party transition. The Altpress stream makes it sound a lot nicer.
Re: A Flash Flood of Colour
ripped the altpress stream 320 vbr m4a. now reformulated the frequency to 432hz.
Cannot express how good this sounds.
Standout points in this mix.
Arguing with thermometers has a lot more subbass
Stalemate sounds deeper and more chilled.
The gang vocals sound much clearer.
432hz ftw

Re: A Flash Flood of Colour
I listened to the album on repeat since noon yesterday to now (1 am). I went out for like two hours and that was it.

Re: A Flash Flood of Colour
Put on headphones after just listening through my macbook speakers.
Holy shit.
BASS.
High - hearing the kick drum in the 'gut up to this' part of GM,G.
Low - the first half of Stalemate. After listening to the album a few more times I can live with that song, but the first half just feels funny.

Re: A Flash Flood of Colour
Still haven't listened. I tried to in college the other day thanks to Pete, but people were talking and the internet connection is shitty so it kept cutting out and I thought it would ruin it a bit if I kept listening.
Hopefully, the CD arrives early, but I've waited so long, I'm sure I can manage. Still so excited!

Re: A Flash Flood of Colour
Mail came and it never arrived.
Whoever started the rumour of them being posted on Monday is a bad, bad person.

Hopefully tomorrow. Royal Mail managed to get a cd to me within a day yesterday. But you never know. Hopefully Saturday so I don't miss the delivery. Vinyl won't fit through my letterbox.

Re: A Flash Flood of Colour
please stop talking about ripping/obtaining the material here. It's not clever.
Back on topic though...I gave the album a 2nd and 3rd listen yesterday. It's still not my cup of tea. I'd say it's stronger than CD and TTTS though (maybe not lyrically, they sort of bugged me a lot). Sadly gone off ES as of late (no disrespect to them, tastes do just change) and this album didn't really change anything. If you're sorta person who still enjoys the first two albums I'd say you're in for a treat though.
