It'd be interesting to see how many people Americans killed abroad that day and how much coverage they got in the news. I bet it's a lot more than five and they didn't/won't ever even be mentioned in the news (especially in the US).
What happened was terrible. Five people died in a terrible accident in an isolated (hopefully) event where I imagine lots of people are very accountable, and owe those peoples' families the deepest sympathies.
It's terrible how the media is so riddled by double-standards too though. I'm not saying we should ignore events like this...but maybe the American press should devote the same compassion and time to the 25 (or so, thereabouts...who really cares?) civilians it accidentally killed in a drone attack this year, for example. And it was one of many many many attacks that go COMPLETELY unreported in America. Even the NYTimes is shy to talk about it.
America: where they like to slap their hands against their hearts, fly flags and sing cheesy songs when their own die...but show absolutely no remorse or even indifference when they murder people abroad daily and routinely. The fact America is STILL one of the only major powers not to participate with the ICC illustrates this best. They're super-keen to spread their democracy, force their interpretation of justice on to foreign people...yet when people want an American in the dock for posing with the dead bodies of people he just killed on Facebook, the government goes up in arms and won't let them face trial.
Note: I say exactly the same about the press in England, who usually decide that whoever Jude Law's knobbin' is more important than, y'know, learning about the atrocities we're committing in Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya etc. The only difference over here is that people aren't totally blinded by right-wing propaganda (in form of FOX) and patriotism.

Pukkelpop is getting the weather bad now. Apparently a tent collapsed, a tree fell down and a sound-tower got knocked over so they've cancelled everything for today.

That's crazy, I know these stages are meant for temporary festivals and whatnot, but they should still be able to with stand heavy weather. And it's not that it isn't structurally sound, to me it looks like it the stages have to be secured down better.
