Two Questions for any EMX/KP2 Users

Post by PARSLEYtheLI0N on Tue 02 Aug 2011, 8:05 pm

Hi guys got two quick questions for you;

1) Has anyone got the tutorial document for the EMX? I lost it and fancy seeing what other non-shikari songs were on there

2) Where's the best place to buy a KP2 seen as they're discontinued? there's no fully working everything included ones on ebay at the minute

Cheers Smile

I had the document but not got it anymore, sent it to someone though, can't remember who, and get a KP3, so much better

Really ? Do you get the same sounds as the KP2 though, starting a band and we might do a few cheeky shikari covers and it'd help if it could ?

KP2 is primarily an effects based piece of hardware as far as I can gather, you want to synthesize sounds using the touch pad i'd go for the kaossilator pro or the mini KP, I think there are some sounds on KP2 but not many

KPro is good, either that or KP3, or try venturing outside the Korg bracket, get down to your local music shop and try and find something

Budget of like £150 is the only problem Sad What would you spend £150 on disposabley if you had the option ?

I've seen many videos on Youtube of people covering ES songs using a KP2 so I'd like to buy one too, but as I can find it anywhere I'll probably buy the KP3
Can I do the same things with both?

Same thing i was wondering mate, i think the effects are slightly different on both which is why rou sticks with kp2, im not sure though so dont hold me to that Smile i have only an EMX at the minute, i used to have a mini-kp (essentially a mini kp2) don't buy that!

Well, nowadays Rou has such a complete gear...
But I'd like the simple things just to get started, I'll soon get a EMX and for the KP2 do you know where to buy it?

This right here, I find it easier to use VST if I've only got a short amount of time as it's easier to load up than having to find adapters and that, although my EMX is beast VST is much more convenient

Hobsy you couldn't send over a cheeky email at some point if you're not busy, 'samfenwick@live.com' no worries or rush if you can/can't. Cheers Smile i had it on my old laptop but it died. Yeah wish i had more time to use my emx, and i need a decent interface to record into computer, my sound card is shiiiite
