Re: Europe tour september 2011
My 2 weeks off work isnt going to overlap with enough of the UK tour I was hoping (Plus I need 1 week of that for a hopliday away with the Mrs). Might need to tweak the dates alittle, probably means the Euro leg is impossible bar maybe a few Saturday dates.
Re: Europe tour september 2011
Paris is tempting, as is Milan. Paris is probably more realistic though.
Re: Europe tour september 2011
Don't think i'll be attending any of these as the Amsterdam gig in June will be my last ever Shikari date :/

Any reason?
Re: Europe tour september 2011
Just getting a bit bored of it. I'm only doing Amsterdam to see the city and have a laugh afterwards the show.
Along with this, the bands voicing their views on politics too much and it's kind of putting me off. I'll wait for their new album, but at this moment in time I'm not attending any more Shikaris dates in the future.

Pretty strong commitment you're making there Hobbsy, but i do agree a little on this bit:

Re: Europe tour september 2011
Strong commitment i know, but i only went to hatfield to see everyone and have a laugh. Not for the actual gig itself. This is the same reason for Amsterdam tbh.
Thanks Jen
As i said, the album will be deciding factor. The past year has put off Shikari more and more with the whole politics things.
Sorry but that's just how i feel to anyone who thinks it's a stupid reason.

Uk tour is a definite for me, EU tour is only a possibility really, I'd love to go just for the experience of a new crowd really but i'm not sure if I could scrape together the money especially with 18th festivities only a short while before the tour starts
Re: Europe tour september 2011
Hobbsy, Try and disengage from the politics if you can. Some of the politics I totally agree with, some i totally disagree with (Part of me swinging from left to right but not really being centrally viewed) but the sons I dont like I disengage from what te lyrics mean and try and enjoy it.
Would be a shame for you to miss out on the past, and tebanter.

Re: Europe tour september 2011
Yeah the politics in the music is kinda annoying but their music and live show are class and that's what I personally go to the gigs to see, energy. It'd be a shame if you didn't go to any more Hobbsy, I don't think any other band has as much of a community as ES!
Re: Europe tour september 2011
Is it worth checking out the first two letlive. albums? Do they play any of those songs at shows?

The Bizkit one from 99-04 was immense, them doing SFA for 5 years killed it though. It still goes on a little at thearmpit.net but not like it usedto be.

Buy 'Fake History' - its absolutely fantastic and they play a good chunk of it.
Re: Europe tour september 2011
Probably going to do Paris. It doesn't seem too expensive and it's 3 days after my 17th birthday

Same, trying to convince my parents to take me as it's a month after my 18th and is on a weekend
