Man Overboard
There's not a thread on this band, but they're absolutely awesome. If you're into pop-punk in any way you'll probably love them, and even if you're not it's more than likely a there'll be few songs you'll enjoy.
"Real Talk" is probably one of my favourite albums this year, do yourself a favour and give it a listen if you haven't already - it's only half an hour or so long, so if it's not your thing you've not lost much. They're coming over to the UK in December with Transit and All Or Nothing, gonna be excellent:
7th Dec - Libertines, Middlesbrough
8th Dec - Retro Bar, Manchester
9th Dec - Capitol, Glasgow
10th Dec - The Well, Leeds
11th Dec - The Fighting Cocks, Kingston
12th Dec - The Pint, Dublin
13th Dec - The Flapper and Firkin, Birmingham
14th Dec - Chantry Social Club, Canterbury
I fully expect Lee Burgess in here at some point to back me up, and I'll be disappointed otherwise.

Just checked them out for the first time now, these guys are sweet! Would you recommend their EP's or other stuff?

Definitely man, all their stuff is great. As far as I know, they have two EPs - Dahlia and Noise From Upstairs, a split 7" with Transit and a B-sides record called Before We Met: A Collection Of Old Songs
All of it is gold, if you have the time then give all of it a go. I've even included Spotify links for the older stuff to save you looking for it and, just for completion, Real Talk is here too.

Re: Man Overboard
Real Talk is beaut.
To be fair, i did struggle to get into them at first, but Real Talk is probs the best starting point.
I'd check out Transit too, and then go to a show on the tour in December, cause it's like £8 or summat, for two great US bands on their 1st UK tour.
Basement are playing a few of the southern shows also, jammy cunts.

Basement and Starters are both on the Dublin show, it's ridiculous.
EDIT: Band's van got broken into the other night, so do both them and yourselves a favour and head to whatever date is closest to you on this tour.

The main reason to go to this gig is to join in the sing along to Love__ by transit.

Re: Man Overboard
Sweet, think I might check them out then, only £5 entry. Their playing in a cue club, which could be interesting. I guess they must have a room upstairs or something.

Anyone pon the next UK tour? A few friends and I have bought tickets for Kingston, and I don't know whether I'm more excited for MOB or The Story So Far.

I saw them last friday. They put on such a great show! I loved every second of it. Their new self-titled album is solid too. I love all of their stuff.

They're excellent live, hopefully I can see again when they come to the UK next year!
