This song is a serious grower. Wasn't too keen on it the first couple of times but last night it was awesome.

I agree with Nicola , I wasnt sure from the youtube video and thought it sounded good but then when they played it oxford I loved it , preston it was even better and then last night was quality. Rory said "wait to you here the recording" so hopefully it lives up to that
Re: 'Destabilise'
Sucks I won't hear this live for a loooong time yet. Probably will hear the recording first.

I think the dubstep bits that people aren't liking will sound a lot better recorded.
It just sort of seems like they realised how successful the Mothership dubstep intro was and tried to integrate that sound into a song and from the videos, I'm just hoping it grows on me.

Tbh, I think this track is gonna be great! I've been waiting so long for it and now I just need to hear the recorded version. I really love the breakdown with the dubstep and I don't really think many people respect the band enough to let them do what they want to do with their sound. Their music is amazing the way it is.
And to all the people saying that Rou is "taking over the sound", he clearly isnt, Enter Shikari are not a dubstep band and far from it, of course they add dubstep elements into their music but its still Rory shredding his guitar, Chris epically strumming his bass and Rob laying down awesome beats on his kit! nuff said!

Nobody here is trying to stop Enter Shikari making the music they want to. I think it's quite hilarious to suggest nobody on this forum respects the band enough, I'm not saying that you're directing it at any of us in particular but there is some mega-dedicated fans here.
Everybody here is entitled to an opinion, and in my opinion, I know Shikari can do better than Destabilise, and I know that Rob can drum better than he has been of late. The quality of their music has vastly improved but a lot of people will agree with me here when I say some of the energy that was once there around 06 and 07 in their music is missing. In no way do they perform badly but I think they can do better than this.

I'm not excactly directing it at the people saying they don't like the new stuff, it's mainly directed at the people who have been criticising the band for their change of style, people who have been kinda hassling then on their facebook statues's and stuff like that. Of course I believe that everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but I was referring more to the poeple who constanty post on their facebook wall sayin stuff like "go back to ttts" as I think that they should just let the band sound the way they want and do what makes then happy. I know there are plenty of loyal and hardcore shikari fans on here (me being one of them) and i think they will be the ones who will stick with the band no matter what direction they wanna go in.

When you think about it, this is just a live recording, you can never get the sound perfect from a live recording, the studio recording may have subbass.

No need to think about it, it is a live recording and won't have a full range of sound but there was no subbass on the night either. Hopefully the recorded version will make my appendix explode because it is a big part of the song.
