Quite often people make threads for individual games or specific news stories. Sometimes a small tidbit of news or a particular game doesn't warrant an entire thread so I though I'd start this up so we can post any game related shit we like in one tidy place

On with my post then...

Nintendo absolutely smashed E3 this year. They opened their presentation with a completely new Zelda game for the Wii which had me positively frothing at every orifice. Later they showed off the 3DS, complete with 3D Zelda:OoT and Llayt Wars remakes (or Star Fox 64, if you're outside the PAL regions) Then there's the Goldeneye remake, new Kid Icarus, new Kirby, and new DONKEY KONG. Watch this fucking trailer, it brings a tear to my eye.

Aye just as I was starting to lose faith in nintendo, they mannage to jizz all over e3 can't wait for 3ds

Only one thing mainly interested me at E3... Gran Turismo 5 finally has a fucking release date! November 2nd will do.

Also Assassins Creed 2: Brotherhood looks rather sweet.

This is the thing that will make me buy a PS3.

Kinect is going to cost you £129 in the UK. It's going to cost $149 in the 'states. £129 equals $202 Google informs me...as always, UK (and the PAL region) get shafted. Do they assume me have money falling out our arses?

Good thing motion control is overrated anyway, then. Not as much as 3D, but pretty overhyped.

New cod looks depressing just not needed as a game. Multiplayer looks so samey it's unreal and it's chucked a remote controlled car to make it "cool"? .

the inside xbox video, and a few multi player videos i've seen make black ops look good. they've brainwashed me.

But there is nothing amazingly new they look so alike from the other games it's just getting too rinse n repeated.

Aye but 80% of people who play CoD (constantly) are thick as fuck and like to play the same monotonous shit over and over. I bought CoD:MW and completed the campaign, played a bit of multiplayer, and did the same with MW2. Not waste my life prestiging.

Yeah I really don't see how it sells so well.
Mw2 was good but nothing mind blowing, be better if the took a long break and made a game that's new and fresh! I think infinity ward wanted to do that but they got fired? Or some story along those lines.

So that's why I saw that pig flying yesterday.

Tbh I can name all the good wii games on one hand an still have some fingers left for poking .

My girlfriend has Mario Kart on the Wii so I've grown a liking to that.

I don't have much time for games anymore and so I don't buy PS3 games that often, when I do they seem to be the "BIG" releases, GTA4, MGS4, RE5 and RDR (Haze also came with the PS3 but it's a bit wank, reminded me of Killzone on the PS2).

I loved the PS2 and PS1 though and still find their games more fun than all this next gen stuff. Sometimes I think kids are cheated these days, with less emphasis on making fun and innocent games like we had (Crash Bandicoot, Pandemonium, Spyro etc) and more on making gritty, dark and realistic games about crime or war. No wonder they are all so fucked up haha *INSERT DAILY MAIL HEADLINE ABOUT GAMES MAKING KIDS VIOLENT*.

Wii is a good console. You can knock the hardware and stuff but it has arguably the best library of 1st-party games and exclusives. Off the top of my head...
