Death Cab for Cutie

Post by Guest on Mon 21 Jun 2010, 2:27 pm

I was a bit surprised there wasn't already a thread for these. There isn't much need for an introduction. I absolutely love them, since watching Scrubs the other day when Martin, Malks and Frat were over (the sad episode when George dies and they play I will follow you into the dark...) I've been listening to them loads again.

Christopher Walla tweeted early this week concerning the new record, stoked!

We were listening to Transatlanticism on my iPod in work the other night. Great album and a great band.

I happen to be spinning some Narrow Stairs right now. I'm fairly certain they've managed to get progressively better with every record they've released which for 6 albums is a pretty unique achievment these days. Very happy to hear they are already working on album seven.

favourite album of theirs is either plans or transatlanticism, but they're all so great.
they've been one of my favourite bands for a long time.
they sound pretty damn good live aswell, jealous of anyone who's seen them.

I saw them live in Nottingham about 2 years ago. They are really good. Probably Transatlanticism is their best album, and The Sound of Settling their best song, or I will Possess My Heart.
