Tour bank account.

So I noticed their was discussion of a possible bank account or paypal being needed? So I took the liberty of opening an account for us to all put money into for lodges and for people who can't go to gigs so we can chip in and help people out.

I've put some money into it to start it off for all of us but if its going to be a success I think we'll have to start planning things in advance a bit more to save us all money and to help other users out if they can't afford it and wish to come, we all enjoy each others company so I opened one up. I've registered it with paypal if that's the way people want to pay money in otherwise they can do so by online banking. As this is an open to the public forum I'm not going to post the details on here so that someone can use the details to buy shit online and bleed us dry so if you want to put money into it to help the fund out either post in here/PM me and I'll find out from other users whether you're a trustworthy person or not if I've never spoken nor heard of you before.

I've whacked 30 quid in it to get us going. Hope it helps in some way in the future.

Yeah I suppose so Lee, but like if we book a three person room and say it costs 30 quid, each of us put a tenner into that account and then we book it, sorted. Without having to ask for money on the day

Ironically, that £30 is coming straight back out for the Slam Dunk ticket Steve

Good idea though, think my bank accounts gunna get a good clearing for the Preston and Bath dates!

Haha, it won't be coming out of the tour bank account, it'll come out of mine. I have more than 30 quid to my name I'll have you know!

Ha fair enough! Good idea though, some people might just not cough up on the day or try to get round. Bang on for the idea though

Aye I feel some people might put loads in and some not at all. But if everybody puts fair amounts in and contributes properly it should work. I'll sticky this.

I think we need rules for this.
Id suggest a 2nd holder so no one can do a runner, and rules that state you dont get to stay in the hotel unless youv paid before hand via the account.

Its possible to send a reference with a payement from bank account to bank account eg if i was sending steve money I put "kev kerr" etc, not sure if this is an option for paypal.

I say me and you Kev are the two main people with access to the account and no one else, because I set it the thing up and you lot have known me for years and you because you brought it up. It won't be hard to control. When sending money over it does ask you to "profile" what the money is for so you'd basically put your name and say

"Joe Bloggs - 10 pound travelodge"

I don't really like this idea, think it will put so many people off staying in rooms with everyone.

Why will it? . It's just to help us all out as we we're all young people and can't afford to be paying like 40/50 room on our own tops. I know we usually pay them cash in hand but its so easy to forget about, this way it just helps us in the long run as we'll be able to also try and help people out with tickets etc if they can't afford it. It's just an idea really. Like Lee said , it might fall on its arse but its best to try it first

Also make sure neither is a hun. I suggest we have it in the bank of DPC.

This is a crap idea! How is this going to work exactly? hahaha.

I think it makes it better- we are always so late at booking because no one ever has a spare lump of money to just dish out.

the only problem is what if say 5 people want a room we all put in £10 each.
then someone else wants to join in? then are total would go down to say £8 each.
so how would people get £2 back if that makes sense.

The person who joins in could give the other 5 people £2 each?

We should have a deadline for people to sign up. Anyone after the deadline can sort out a second room?

Eg You have until July 10 to sign up.....Hotel is say £40, 10 sign up, 4 quid each....then a second deadline to have the money transferred...

Its this kind of thing, that puts me off. And I have stayed in rooms with you lot many a time.

it's effort, i just nag people for money till i get it when i organise it.

Not that I am involved in any of these shenanigans anymore, seems like its sucking the fun out of tour hotel antics.
